Winter weather advisory issued in parts of Oregon between Wednesday (05 February) and Friday (07 February)

As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning and winter weather advisory for multiple regions in Oregon, including Central Douglas County, Eastern Curry County, and Josephine County, from Wednesday (05 February) and Friday (07 February).

• Heavy snowfall is expected to continue until 1000 hours (local time) on Thursday (06 February), with additional accumulations ranging from three to five inches in Central Douglas County and two to six inches in Eastern Curry and Josephine Counties, with higher elevations receiving up to 10 inches of snow.
• A second storm system is forecast to bring four to six inches of snow in Central Douglas County and four to nine inches in Eastern Curry and Josephine Counties, particularly in areas above 2500 feet. Lower elevations may receive one to three inches of snow under a Winter Weather Advisory which is effective from 1600 hours (local time) on Thursday (06 February) until 1000 hours (local time)) on Friday (07 February).
• Key impacted locations include Roseburg, Umpqua, Sutherlin, Winchester, Green, Wilderville, Merlin, Grants Pass, and Cave Junction, as well as Highways 138, 42, 199, 238, and I-5, including Sexton Summit and the Kalmiopsis Wilderness.
