Extreme Heat Warning issued for parts of Kansas and Missouri on Sunday (06 September)

As per reports, an Extreme Heat Warning is in effect across portions of northeast Kansas and central, north central, northwest, and west central Missouri. The warning was issued at 1341 hours CDT on Sunday (06 September) and is in effect until 2000 hours CDT on the same day.

Heat index values exceeding 105 degrees Fahrenheit are possible. The conditions present an increased risk of heat-related illness, particularly during prolonged exposure to high temperatures and humidity. Guidance issued in connection with the warning includes maintaining adequate fluid intake, remaining in air-conditioned environments and limiting exposure to direct sunlight.
