As per reports, on Monday (07 September) GLOW Community Alliance (GLOWCA) and Genesee County Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is scheduled to hold a demonstration outside Batavia City Hall from 1300 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) to 1500 hours local time (1900 hours UTC).
• The demonstration is expected to oppose the proposed expansion of the Buffalo Detention Center in Batavia and advocate for changes concerning taxation, ICE presence in the community, workers’ rights, and democratic participation.
• Organizers are inviting workers and community members to participate, which may result in increased pedestrian activity and localized traffic disruption around City Hall during the event.
