As per reports, following are the updates on the Israel-Hezbollah escalations as of Saturday (02 November):
• Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stated on Saturday (02 November) that the United States and Israel will receive a severe response for what they do against Iran.
• Israeli naval forces reportedly landed in the coastal city of Batroun in northern Lebanon and captured a Hezbollah operative overnight between Friday (01 November) and Saturday (02 November). The operative captured is named Emad Fadel Amhz, a senior member of Hezbollah.
• At least one drone was intercepted and several crashes were detected, with damage being reported at a factory in Achziv north of Nahariya on Saturday (02 November). At least three drones were fired by Hezbollah on Saturday (02 November) morning, with rocket and drone intrusions and sirens sounding between 0830-0900 hours.
• The United States has stated that it will deploy B-52 bombers, fighter jets, refueling aircraft, ballistic missile defense destroyers, and Navy destroyers to the Middle East, in a readjustment of military assets as the Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group prepares to leave the region. The Pentagon stated in a statement that deployments would take place in the coming months.
• A missile strike in Israel’s Sharon area wounded 19 people on Saturday (02 November) after the army reported three projectiles were fired from Lebanon into central Israel. All 19, four of whom were in moderate condition, were taken to hospitals for treatment.
