As per reports, the Lebanon’s land transport sector unions and federations has announced a general strike, movement and sit-ins across the country following a vote at an extraordinary meeting chaired by Bassam Tlais on 30 September.
• The planned action involves multiple transport categories, including trucks, refrigerated transport, transit tankers, buses, minibuses and tourist vehicles, amid concerns over rising fuel prices and unresolved sector-related issues.
• The detailed mechanisms and locations of the planned actions are expected to be announced during a press conference at the General Labor Union headquarters on Tuesday (29 September).
