As per reports, the Additional District Magistrate of Gandhinagar has issued an order detailing traffic diversions and designated no parking zones within the city. This action is in anticipation of the Vibrant Gujarat summit scheduled from Tuesday (09 January) to Saturday (13 January) at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. The measure aims to facilitate security arrangements for VVIPs and prevent any potential disruptions during the summit, expected to host dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other key officials.
• Several key roads, such as the main roads spanning sectors Ch-0 to Ch-5, Gh-0 to Gh-5, G-0 to G-5, Kh-0 to Kh-5, and road number 3 from Ch-3 to Kh-3, have been designated as no-parking zones.
• Additionally, parts of Sector-17 in Gandhinagar will also be cordoned off as ‘no-parking’ areas.
• Several routes too have been notified for traffic diversions and some have been notified as one-way routes for the duration of the event. These one-way routes encompass paths leading to Mahatma Mandir via Udyog Bhavan through Gh-4 and G-4, as well as routes away from Mahatma Mandir toward Town Hall.
• Public entry will be prohibited along three routes which include one route from G-0 to G-5 circle, another from Gh-0 circle to G-5 circle via Gh road and another from G-5 circle to towards Gh road via road number 5.
