The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Kerala on Monday (21 September) as per the latest updates issued on Sunday (20 September).
• Warning: A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, lightning and squalls for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragode on Monday (21 September).
• Nowcast: An orange alert has been issued for light thunderstorms, winds of less than 40 kilometres per hour and moderate rainfall for Kannur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Ernakulam and Idukki, valid till 0400 hours (local time) on Monday (21 September).
• Nowcast: A yellow alert has been issued for moderate rainfall and surface winds of less than 30 kilometres per hour for Wayanad, Kasaragod, Thrissur, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Kottayam, valid till 0400 hours (local time) on Monday (21 September).
