As per reports, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for a mix of rainfall, freezing rainfall and snowfall in parts of East Vancouver Island from Tuesday (16 January) evening to Wednesday (17 January) morning.
• Snowfall is expected to begin on Tuesday (16 January) evening, following which a period of freezing rainfall or ice pellets are in forecast in parts of Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland overnight Tuesday (16 January) into Wednesday (17 January) morning. Later, rainfall is expected during the day on Wednesday (17 January).
• The special weather statement has been issued for areas including Courtenay to Campbell River, Duncan to Nanaimo and Nanoose Bay to Fanny Bay.
