As per reports, temporary closures are planned this fall at Bertram Creek Regional Park and Johns Family Nature Conservancy Regional Park in Kelowna due to infrastructure improvement projects designed to support the long-term operation and maintenance of both parks from Monday (28 September).
• The projects include bridge replacements that are expected to improve access for park operations and replace aging infrastructure.
• Crews are expected to install a new vehicle bridge over Lebanon Creek at Johns Family Nature Conservancy Regional Park, replacing the existing culvert crossing. A portion of Elk Trail and the Chute Lake Road parking lot is expected to be temporarily closed during construction.
• From 05 October, crews are expected to replace the vehicle bridge at Bertram Creek Regional Park. The bridge is expected to be closed during construction, while the rest of the park is expected to remain open to visitors.
