Security measures increased across Islamabad’s Red Zone against protest threats on Monday (23 September)

As per reports, the federal police have sealed the Red Zone area of Islamabad and have placed security on high alert after the protest call was issued by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), from Monday (23 September) onwards.

• Accordingly, four out of five Red Zone roads have been completely sealed by installing containers at Serena Chowk, Nadra Chowk, Express Chowk, and Marriott Chowk.
• Police also sealed Fazal Haq Road and China Chowk by installing barbed wire on Jinnah Avenue and heavy personnel deployed in the area.
