School receives threatening letter; heightened vigilance likely in Khandwa

As per reports, a school in Khandwa received a threatening letter, leading the administration and local police to heighten their alert status. The letter, received on 28 December but disclosed on Tuesday (02 January), outlines plans for bomb blasts in eight states on Republic Day (26 January). It includes threats targeting various locations, mentioning the Prime Minister, and referencing the terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

The principal of Patajan Higher Secondary School in Khadwa, discovered the threatening letter marked with “Allah Hu Akbar” on the school gate lock. The police were promptly informed, and the letter is now under investigation. Although there are claims of similar letters reaching other schools, official confirmation is still pending.
