Scheduled water supply disruption across Lima on Wednesday (24 December)

As per reports, Peru’s state-run water utility Lima Water and Sewerage Service (SEDAPAL) has implemented scheduled drinking water supply interruptions across several districts of Lima on Wednesday (24 December), due to maintenance works on reservoirs and pipeline infrastructure.

• In Villa María del Triunfo, a water supply interruption began at 0148 hours local time (0648 hours UTC) on Wednesday (24 December), due to pipeline break repair works, affecting areas including San Francisco Land Ownership Association Urbanization (T. de Lurín), Nueva Esperanza, Tablada de Lurín, and César Vallejo Urbanizations. Service restoration is scheduled for 1000 hours local time (1500 hours UTC).
• In Carabayllo, a scheduled water outage will begin at 1200 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) on Wednesday (24 December) impacting multiple areas including San Pedro de Carabayllo Urbanization, Santa Rosa de Lima Owners Association, January 5th Housing Association, Las Brisas de Carabayllo, San Pedro Town Center, and several San Antonio de Carabayllo urbanizations. Water service is expected to be restored by 2000 hours local time (0100 hours UTC) on Thursday (25 December).
• SEDAPAL has confirmed the deployment of water tanker trucks to strategic locations to mitigate service disruption in the most affected neighbourhoods.
