Primary Teachers Association to stage a silent protest in Patna on 20 January

As per reports, the Bihar Primary Teachers Association has announced to stage a silent protest on 20 January at the Bihar Legislative Assembly in Ranchi. Teachers at all levels are expected to participate in the protest.

This has been prompted due to alleged unmet demands by the association which includes the amendment of the Bihar School Special Teacher Rules 2023, voluntary transfers, old pension scheme, central pay scale for all teachers, retirement age to increase to 62 years, amongst others.
