The regional centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow warnings for thunderstorms, lightning and fog in several districts of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday (04 January):

• Orange warning: Chattarpur, Bhopal, and Sehore.
• Yellow warning: Ratlam, Ujjain, Indore, Mandla, Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Sagar, Raisen, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Panna, Satna and Rewa.
• On Friday (05 January), IMD has issued orange and yellow warnings for thunderstorms, lightning, and fog in several districts. An orange warning has been issued in Tikamgarh and Chhatarpur.
• Meanwhile, a yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning has been issued across several districts on Saturday and Sunday (06 and 07 January).
