As per reports, the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (SENAMHI) has issued an orange alert for moderate to strong winds along Peru’s coast, including Lima, from Thursday (17 September) through Saturday (19 September).
• An orange alert is issued for Áncash, Arequipa, Callao, Ica, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Moquegua, Piura and Tacna.
• SENAMHI also forecasts fog, mist and scattered rainfall in coastal areas during the night, early morning and first hours of the morning.
• On Thursday (17 September), winds are forecast to reach approximately 34 kilometers per hour on the north coast, 35 kilometers per hour on the central coast, 24 kilometers per hour on the south coast and reach around 35 kilometers per hour along the coast of Ica.
