As per reports, Jat bodies from Bharatpur-Dholpur districts of Rajasthan have threatened to stage an indefinite mahapadav (sit-in) near the Delhi-Mumbai rail route at Bharatpur from 17 January, demanding their inclusion in the central government’s Other Backward Class (OBC) quota.

Under the banner of the Bharatpur Dholpur Reservation Sangharsh Committee (BDRSC), the community leaders will block railway tracks and national highways if the demand is not met in the next 10 days.
