As per reports, the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru (Senamhi) has issued an alert regarding unseasonably high temperatures and intense solar radiation across the coastal and northern regions of Peru on Tuesday (12 May) through Thursday (14 May).
• Forecast models indicate that northern regions, including Tumbes and Piura, are expected to reach temperatures as high as 36 degrees Celcius to 37 degrees Celcius.
• In the Metropolitan Lima area, districts located further from the coast, such as Carabayllo, Comas, and San Juan de Lurigancho, are anticipated to experience temperatures reaching approximately 30 degrees Celcius.
• The affected areas include the departments of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, and the eastern districts of Lima.
