As per reports, the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (SENAMHI) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall and flooding in parts of Peru. The affected regions are Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cusco, Huancavelica, Ica, Junín, Lima, Moquegua, Pasco, Puno and Tacna.

The National Emergency Operations Center ( COEN ) reported that the Chillón River (Lima) is at the yellow hydrological threshold on Thursday (18 January) morning at the Pariacancha station (Huaros district), which would further affect the towns of Jansha, Tarapo and Cullhuay.
