As per reports, Santa Catarina Civil Defense issued an alert for coastal flooding, rough seas, and winds up to 70 km/h along the state’s coastline, valid until Monday (04 May).
• Throughout Sunday (03 May), wind is expected to lose strength, but the risk remains moderate to high for occurrences associated with sea agitation and rough seas.
• Rough sea condition is expected to continue through Monday (04 May), losing strength only on Tuesday (05 May).
• Waves range between three and four meters, with higher peaks offshore in southern region and Greater Florianópolis; in the northern region, waves range between two and three meters.
• Conditions conducive to coastal flooding exist between Florianópolis and Itajaí, with moderate risk. In Itajaí, coastal flooding is expected to occur in the port area; in Florianópolis, it may affect Rio Tavares neighborhood and Avenida da Saudade in Itacorubi.
