As per reports, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several parts of Assam on Friday (05 January). The districts under yellow warning include: Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Morigaon.

Additionally, a yellow warning for fog has also been issued for Saturday (06 January) and Sunday (07 January).
