As per reports, a yellow warning for rainfall has been issued for Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland and the Lothian Borders until 2359 hours local time on Monday (19 August).
Heavy and persistent rainfall is expected, with 25-35 mm widely and up to 50-60 mm in the heaviest areas. Strong southerly winds are also predicted, which are anticipated to clear to the east by 0000 hours local time on Tuesday (20 August).
