As per reports, Météo France issued a yellow weather alert for the Haute-Corse department, effective from Saturday (09 November) at 0600 hours local time until Sunday (10 November) at 0600 hours local time, due to the risk of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and potential flooding.
Forecasts indicate slow-moving storms may hit the coast, the Eastern Plain, and Cap Corse, with intense precipitation rates reaching 30-50 millimetres per hour. Under persistent storm cells, accumulations could reach 80-100 millimetres in certain areas. Other affected areas include Bastia, Corte, and coastal towns such as Moriani-Plage and Aleria.
