The India Meteorlogical Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for parts of Assam on Monday (09 September). This includes Kamrup and Kamrup rural, Darrang, Morigaon, West Karbi Anglong, Nagaon, Biswanath, Golaghat, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Jorhat, Sibsagar, Charaideo. Heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning are forecast for these districts.
