Update on CJP’s protest at Shivaji Park on Friday (02 October)

According to reports, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced plans to proceed with its “Mumbai Chalo” protest and “Jail Bharo Andolan” (fill the jail protest) at 1600 hours (local time) on Friday (02 October) near Gate No. 6 of Shivaji Park in Dadar, Mumbai.

The following are the latest updates available:

• Security has been increased at Shivaji Park in Dadar. Authorities have also increased security measures at the Dadar Station to manage crowd ahead of the protest.
• The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Friday (02 October), dismissed reports alleging that its founder, Abhijeet Dipke, had been detained by Mumbai Police at Marine Drive on Thursday (01 October).
• The Cockroach Janata Party’s founder, Abhijeet Dipke, held a meeting with students at Ambedkar Hostel in Chembur on Thursday (01 October).
• Bollywood singer Vishal Dadlani has expressed support for the protest and is expected to participate in the demonstration, potentially contributing to increased public visibility and attendance.
