Yellow alert for heavy rainfall issued in parts of Dominican Republic on Wednesday (27 May)

As per reports, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in parts of the Dominican Republic on Wednesday (27 May).

• The COE has issued weather alerts for high probability of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong wind gusts, localised flooding, and possible hailstorms from the afternoon through the early evening hours due to the continued impact of a trough affecting the national territory.
• The yellow alert has been issued for 12 provinces, which are Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Nagua, Cotuí, Higüey, Santa Cruz de El Seibo, Hato Mayor del Rey, San Pedro de Macorís, Bonao, Concepción de La Vega and Monte Plata.
