As per reports, the National Office of Meteorology (ONAMET – Oficina Nacional de Meteorología) and the Emergency Operations Centre (COE – Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias) have forecast variable weather conditions, including rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds, across several provinces and the National District on Tuesday (04 August).

The areas under alert are Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Monte Plata, San Juan, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, La Vega and Valverde , in addition to the National District .

• Reports indicate that nine provinces and the National District remain under a green alert due to the combined humidity left by a departing tropical wave and an active trough affecting the region.
• Reports suggest that affected areas are expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, electrical storms, and sudden wind gusts, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours.
• Reports indicate that daytime temperatures in Santo Domingo and surrounding regions are forecast to reach 32 degrees Celsius, with high humidity levels contributing to warm conditions.
• Reports further suggest that authorities have issued maritime warnings advising small and fragile watercraft operators along the southwestern Caribbean coast to navigate with caution near coastal perimeters and avoid venturing out to sea.
