As per reports, Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader announced that the Plaza de la Bandera tunnel in Santo Domingo is scheduled to be inaugurated on 25 July and 26 July.

• The infrastructure project aims to improve connectivity between February 27 Avenue and Gregorio Luperón Avenue, Isabel Aguiar Avenue, and the 6 de Noviembre Highway.
• Reports indicate that the tunnel project, along with the Pintura interchange, forms part of wider government infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving road mobility and strengthening transport infrastructure in Greater Santo Domingo.
