As per reports, a group of workers from T & Z Apparels Limited in Gazipur staged a protest by blocking the highway in the Maleker Bari area of Gazipur, demanding the payment of their overdue salaries. The protest began around 0930 hours on Saturday (09 November). Police and army personnel arrived at the location to try to control the situation.

Gazipur Metropolitan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rahedul Islam confirmed the ongoing blockade and stated that discussions with the workers were in progress.
