As per Japan Meteorological Agency, issued a red alert warning at around 2225 hours for heavy snowfall at Nagano Northern region in Kanto Koshin. The warning remains till the morning of Sunday (26 January) with a maximum of 12 hours of heavy snowfall, expected to reach a maximum of 30 centimetres.
