As per reports, the Bogotá Water and Sewerage Company has scheduled water supply disruptions across multiple districts of Bogotá and the municipality of Soacha betweenMonday (04 May) through Friday (08 May), due to maintenance works, network upgrades, valve installations, and system improvements.
• On Monday (04 May), in Antonio Nariño (Restrepo Occidental), water supply disruption is scheduled to commence at 0800 hours local time (1300 hours UTC) and is expected to continue for up to 24 hours.
• On Tuesday (05 May), in Soacha, including neighborhoods such as El Sol, Andalucía, and San Mateo sectors, water supply disruptions are scheduled to begin at 1000 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) and are expected to last up to 24 hours, while in San Cristóbal, Suba, Ciudad Bolívar, and Tunjuelito, water supply disruptions are scheduled between 0800 hours and 1000 hours local time (1300 to 1500 hours UTC) with durations ranging between 16 and 24 hours depending on the sector.
• On Wednesday (06 May), in Suba, Usaquén, Kennedy, Bosa, and Tunjuelito, water supply disruptions are scheduled between 0800 hours and 1000 hours local time (1300 hours to 1500 hours UTC), with expected durations ranging from four to 24 hours depending on the maintenance activity.
• On Thursday (07 May), in Usaquén, Chapinero, Bosa, Tunjuelito, Barrios Unidos, and Teusaquillo, outages are scheduled between 0800 hours and 1000 hours local time (1300 hours to 1500 hours UTC) and are expected to last between 12 hours and 24 hours.
• On Friday (08 May), in Usme, including neighborhoods such as Tihuaque and Los Soches, water supply disruption is scheduled to begin at 1000 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) and is expected to last up to four hours.
• The water supply disruptions are attributed to activities such as preventative maintenance, valve installation, hydrant installation, pipeline rerouting, meter inspections, and tank cleaning aimed at improving long-term water supply reliability.
