As per reports, explosive activity occurred in the Popocatepetl Volcano in Mexico on Thursday (22 February) with continuous emissions of volcanic ash.
The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) in Washington has reported the movement of the volcanic ash plume at a speed of 10 knots toward the southeast direction. The plume is estimated to rise to an altitude of 24,000 feet (7300 meters) above sea level, corresponding to flight level 240. This was reported at approximately 1530 hours (local time).
