As per reports, the union Verdi has announced a strike action in the public sector in Munich, focusing on the healthcare sector on Thursday (06 March) and Friday (07 March), with a central rally scheduled at 1100 hours local time on Friday (07 March) in front of the Schwabing Hospital.
• The strike is a response to stalled wage negotiations affecting approximately 2.5 million public sector employees.
• Companies called to the warning strike are municipal hospitals, Workers’ Welfare Association (AWO) and Münchenstift.
• The strike aims to address issues such as rising living costs, staff shortages, and poor working conditions.
