As per reports, authorities in Bogotá will implement the regional “Pico y Placa” (license plate restriction) measure on Monday (15 June) to manage increased traffic volumes associated with the return of travelers following the holiday weekend.

• Under the measure, private vehicles with license plates ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) will be permitted to enter Bogotá between 1200 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) and 1600 hours local time (2100 hours UTC).
• Subsequently, private vehicles with license plates ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) will be allowed to enter the city between 1600 2000 hours local time (2100 hours UTC on 15 June) and 2000 hours local time (0100 hours UTC on 16 June).
• Before 1200 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) and after 2000 hours local time (0100 hours UTC on 16 June), all vehicles will be permitted to enter Bogotá without restrictions related to the regional Pico y Placa system.
• The restriction will apply to the principal access corridors into the capital, where authorities traditionally observe significant traffic congestion during holiday return periods.
• The restriction will be enforced on Bogotá’s principal access corridors, including the North Highway (Autopista Norte) between the Andes toll plaza and the TransMilenio North Portal, the South Highway (Autopista Sur) from the Soacha municipal boundary to Boyacá Avenue, Centenario Avenue (Calle 13) between the Bogotá River and Cali Avenue, Calle 80 between Guadua Bridge and Portal 80, Carrera Séptima between streets 245 and 183, Boyacá Avenue-Road to Llano between the Argelino Durán Quintero Tunnel and the old Llano road, the Suba-Cota Road between the Bogotá River and 170th Street, the La Calera Road between the Patios toll plaza and Carrera Séptima, and the Choachí Road between the Monserrate road and Circunvalar Avenue.
