US embassy visa services suspension reported in Kampala due to the Ebola outbreak as of Monday (18 May)

As per reports, the US Embassy in Kampala has temporarily suspended all immigrant and non-immigrant visa services until further notice due to concerns linked to the ongoing Ebola outbreak on Monday (18 May).

• The suspension affects tourist, business, student, exchange visitor, and immigrant visa processing.
• No new visa appointments can be scheduled during the suspension period, and previously scheduled appointments will be rescheduled once services resume.
• The disruption primarily impacts Kampala and nationwide visa applicants in Uganda, as well as regional cross-border travel linked to Uganda and the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
