As per reports, the US Embassy in Kampala has temporarily suspended all immigrant and non-immigrant visa services until further notice due to concerns linked to the ongoing Ebola outbreak on Monday (18 May).
• The suspension affects tourist, business, student, exchange visitor, and immigrant visa processing.
• No new visa appointments can be scheduled during the suspension period, and previously scheduled appointments will be rescheduled once services resume.
• The disruption primarily impacts Kampala and nationwide visa applicants in Uganda, as well as regional cross-border travel linked to Uganda and the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
