As per reports, following is the weather update for parts of Australia as on Monday (24 June).
• Sydney and Adelaide are expected to witness heavy rainfall over the upcoming days and weekend (29-30 June). Adelaide is forecast to witness most rainfall in six months over this week.
• Rainfall is forecast for most capital cities across Australia except Darwin in the Northern Territory through the week.
• Rainfall is forecast for West Australia on Wednesday (26 June) and Thursday (27 June). A north-west cloud band is forecast to move through into the south-east corner of the country, with significant wet weather attached.
• The north-west cloud band is drifting across south-east of the country, which is expected to impact New South Wales on Sunday (30 June).
• Rainfall is forecast during the weekend (29-30 June) for Melbourne and Hobart. Brisbane is likely to witness rainfall on Sunday (30 June), with the light rainfall Saturday (29 June), and rainfall is expected all weekend in Canberra.
• There is the possibility of showers in Perth on the weekend (29-30 June), but most of the rainfall is forecast to land across the city between Wednesday (26 June) to Friday (28 June).
• Heavy snowfall is anticipated for Perisher, Thredbo and Mt Buller this week. Rainfall is also forecast for ski fields in the south east on Saturday (29 June).
