As per reports, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the tropical depression Aghon has been forecast to intensify into a tropical storm and make landfall over parts of Quezon province on Sunday (May 26) around 0800 hours local time.

• Under the influence of Aghon, a Gale Warning has been issued at 0500 hours local time on Sunday (26 May), over the coastal waters of Marinduque and Quezon, the southern coastal waters of Batangas, and the northern coastal waters of Camarines Norte. Sea travel is expected to be dangerous for small seacrafts, including all motorbancas of any type of tonnage.
• Outside the Gale Warning areas, the tropical depression Aghon is expected to result in moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 3.5 m) over the coastal waters along the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and the seaboard of Bicol Region.
• Mariners of motor bancas and similarly-sized vessels have been advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.
• Around 1700 hours local time on Sunday (26 May) the tropical storm will cross the landmass of mainland Calabarzon and Polillo Islands.
• Around 50-100 millimeters of rain are expected over Aurora, the rest of Bicol Region and the eastern portions of Isabela, Laguna and Rizal.
• Tropical cyclone wind signal No. 1 has been hoisted over Aurora, the eastern portion of Nueva Ecija, the eastern portion of Bulacan, Metro Manila, Quezon including Pollilo Islands, Romblon, Marinduque, Laguna, Rizal, Oriental Mindoro, parts of Batangas, Sorsogon, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte and Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands.
• Aghon has been forecast to move generally northwestward over Sibuyan Sea and Tayabas Bay.
• It can reach typhoon category Tuesday (28 May) evening or Wednesday (29 May) morning as it exits the Philippine area of responsibility by Tuesday.
