As per reports, roadworks being carried out by the Mayor’s Office at the intersection of 85th Street and 82nd Street continue to disrupt traffic across northern Barranquilla on Monday (11 May).
• Partial closures, detours, and the accumulation of mud and debris have significantly increased congestion levels, particularly during morning and evening rush hours.
• Authorities stated that the disruptions are linked to canalization works on the 85th Street stream and the widening of 82nd Street, projects intended to improve long-term mobility and increase road capacity in high-traffic corridors.
• Authorities advised drivers traveling northbound on Calle 86 to divert via Carrera 49C. Officials also confirmed that Calle 87 continues to operate normally in the southbound direction.
