As per reports, thousands of people gathered to protest against the Prime Minister of Israel Bejamin Netanyahu’s government in the central square of Tel Aviv on Saturday (20 January), blaming Bejamin Netanyahu for 07 October 2023 attacks between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Protestors also demanded for a new election.
• Al-Qassam Brigades associated with the Hamas group claimed to have destroyed concentration camps in the northeast of Bureij Camp in the central Gaza Strip with heavy-caliber mortar shells as of Saturday (20 January).
• Five people killed as a result of Israeli air raids on Rafah in southern Gaza and the Bureij camp in central Gaza on Saturday (20 January). A separate air raid on Bureij refugee camp killed another additional man.
• A residential home in Jabalia refugee camp in north Gaza was attacked by Israeli troop on Saturday (20 January), which killed multiple Palestinians. Details about the exact death toll are still awaited.
• Israel’s authorities claim that no limit has been implemented to the amount of humanitarian aid that can enter the Gaza Strip, and that close to 10,000 aid trucks were transferred to Gaza since 07 October 2023.
• As of the overnight hours of Sunday (21 January), Israeli soldiers are reportedly raiding the city of Hebron. Soldier are allegedly congregating at a traffic circle in the Ras al-Joura area of the city, as convoys of Israeli military vehicles heads towards the city.
• Foreign minister Stéphane Séjourné stated that Palestinians have the right to a state, and expressed his support for the ‘two-state solutions’ for the Israel-Hamas war.
