As per reports, updates on tensions reported in Balochistan, as of Monday (24 March) is as follows:

• Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leader, Dr Mahrang Baloch is in custody in Quetta District Jail, along with 16 other activists who were arrested from their protest camp at Quetta’s Sariab Road.
• The BYC has issued protest calls on social media platform X in both Karachi and Quetta for Monday (24 March), with the protest at the Karachi Press Club organised in collaboration with civil society members.
• The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Karachi Zone, in collaboration with civil society members, is organizing a protest at Karachi Press Club, at 1600 hours on Monday (24 March).
• The Baloch Solidarity Committee is scheduled to organize a peaceful demonstration, at the Brewery bypass road in Quetta at 1200 hours on Monday (24 March).
• The situation in Quetta has normalized as of Sunday (23 March), while a shutter-down strike continued for a second day in some cities across Balochistan in response to a call by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s (BYC).
