As per reports, update on teachers protest reported in Kathmandu, as of Sunday (20 April), is as follows:
• Thousands of teachers under the banner Confederation of Nepalese Teachers (CNT) continued their protests in Kathmandu on Sunday (20 April), demanding immediate endorsement of the School Education Bill.
• The CNT’s protest began at 0900 hours, and centered around Maitighar to New Baneshwor areas, leading to alterations in traffic flow in the city.
• The ongoing protests have disrupted the national student enrolment drive and delayed the evaluation of answer sheets from the recent Secondary Education Examination (SEE).
