As per reports, following are the latest updates on pollution in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) as of Friday Saturday (23 November):
• The air quality index (AQI) levels at various Delhi locations were largely in the ‘Severe’ category on Saturday (23 November) as of 0600 hours. Chandni Chowk reported an AQI of 458, Ashok Vihar 457, Aya Nagar 394, Bawana 458, DTU 419, Dwarka 432, IGI Airport 397, Lodhi Road 357, RK Puram 423, and Wazirpur 467.
• As of Saturday (23 November), the AQI in Gurugram was 252, Faridabad was 334, Ghaziabad was 377, and Noida was 320.
• The Railway Board issued staggered work timings for employees from 0900 hours to 0530 hours and 1000 hours to 0630 hours.
• Schools remain closed in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram on Saturday (23 November). Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University have suspended classes, and Delhi University will resume classes from Monday (25 November).
• The Supreme Court will take a decision on the relaxation of GRAP-IV on Monday (25 November). However, the Court stated that there are 113 entry points in Delhi, but monitoring is happening mostly in only 13 entry points, in order to impose the ban on the entry of trucks carrying non-essential goods.
