As per reports, on Monday (08 September), the Republican People’s Party Headquarters decided to close the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters building in the Sarıyer district, which Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters by the court, entered with police escort. Reports indicate that the new address of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate has become the Bahçelievler District Directorate.
It has been reported that, within the scope of the application made to the Sarıyer District Election Board, the Republican People’s Party held the Extraordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress and notified the Istanbul Governor’s Office and the Supreme Court of Appeals of the address of the new provincial chairmanship, where Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik will carry out his work until the new Provincial Chairman and Administration are elected.
• Reportedly, the General Directorate of Security (EGM) announced on Monday (08 September), that legal action was taken against 39 people and 10 people were detained on the grounds that “provocative posts were made” within the scope of the protests in front of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Directorate Building.
