As per reports, the latest situational updates in Manipur as of Tuesday (12 November) are as follows:

• The Manipur government on Monday night (11 November) imposed an indefinite curfew across the entire Jiribam district, effective immediately. The assembly and movement of more than five people has been prohibited. Further, carrying firearms, stones, weapons, sharp edged objects of any kind is prohibited as well.
• The prohibitory orders were issued after ten suspected militants were shot by security forces in Jiribam district on Monday (11 November). A CRPF jawan was injured in the firing as well. The incident marked the highest number of casualties in a single day this year in the ongoing conflict in the state.
• The incident occurred around 1500 hours on Monday (11 November) at Jakuradhor Karong, under the jurisdiction of Borobekra police station. The area has a majority of Hmar community who are among the tribes that come under the Kuki-Zo umbrella, and according to Hmar groups, all the 10 people killed Monday were from their community. The suspected militants started carrying out attacks around 0400 hours at multiple locations, including Meitei settlements such as Lamtai Khunou and Jakuradhor Karong. At around 1500 hours, a post of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Jakuradhor and the Borobekera police station came under fire.
• A statement by a group called Hmar Village Volunteers (HVVs), representing armed Hmars engaged in the conflict, claimed that those killed on Monday (11 November) were village volunteer who were retaliating against the a killing of a 31-year-old woman from the Hmar community, who was living in Jiribam.
• Operations in and around Jakuradhor were continued to flush out armed militants, with reinforcement teams from the Assam Rifles, CRPF, and civil police deployed as per latest reports.
• Meanwhile, at least two persons sustained bullet injuries in separate attacks in Imphal East and Bishnupur districts.
• Additionally, in a week-long joint operation, Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Manipur Police and other security forces recovered 29 weapons, Improvised Explosive Device (IED), ammunition and other war-like stores (WLS) from several districts of Manipur, the Ministry of Defence stated on Monday (11 November). Searches were carried out in both the hill and valley regions from Imphal West, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Bishnupur, Tengnoupal and Kakching districts.
• Residents of Saiton Leitanpokpi in Bishnupur district have also evacuated to safer locations due to gunfire and bomb attacks reportedly launched from elevated terrains.
