As per reports, the following updates are available on the Kolkata rape-murder case as of Sunday (08 September):

• The third edition of the ‘Reclaim the Night’ protest will take place in West Bengal on Sunday (08 September). The demonstration will be held to mark one month of the crime and will be conducted in 130 cities across 30 countries.
• The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the RG Kar rape and murder case on Monday (09 September) morning.
• West Bengal’s junior doctors on Saturday (07 September) have called for a 30-minute work stoppage and have urged everyone to gather publicly at 1000 hours on Monday (09 September).
• The Central Bureau of Investigation is required to submit a progress report to Calcutta High Court on Tuesday (17 September) regarding their probe into the case.
• Several protests were held across Kolkata to demand justice for the victim. The Durga Vahini – Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) held a protest march in Kolkata on Saturday (07 September). Additionally, the members of the West Bengal Service Doctors Forum on Saturday (07 September) took out a rally from Sealdah station to the Raj Bhavan, as part of continuing protests.
