As per reports, heavy rainfall have been reported in New Jersey, which led to significant flooding, on Wednesday (05 March) evening.

• The following major roadways were declared to be impassable due to flooding and storm-related hazards:

– Route 130: Both directions in Brooklawn were closed.
– Route 46: Both directions in Clifton experienced closures.
– Route 49: All lanes in Maurice River were shut down due to downed wires and a utility pole.
– Route 79: Northbound lanes in Freehold were closed because of a downed utility pole.
• The storm’s intensity led to substantial power outages, affecting thousands of residents. In Camden County, approximately 1500 customers in areas like Cherry Hill and Woodlynne were without power; in Princeton (Mercer County), around 303 customers faced outages; and while in Union County, about 1500 customers in cities such as Elizabeth and Plainfield experienced power loss.
• In Hunterdon County, roughly 1000 customers in Delaware Township and Kingwood Township were affected; in Monmouth County, approximately 900 customers in Eatontown lost power; and in Morris County, around 700 customers in areas including Chester and Washington Township faced outages.
• Heaviest rainfall is expected to fall across New Jersey until 2000 hours local time.
