The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued red, orange and yellow alert across all the districts of Gujarat as heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning are forecast until Wednesday (07 August).

• Monday (05 August): Red alert for extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning has been issued in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Navsari, and Valsad, while an orange alert for very heavy rainfall has been issued in Patan, Mahesana, Surat, Tapi, and Dangs. Additionally, yellow alert has been issued for the rest of the region.
• Tuesday (06 August): Orange alert for very heavy rainfall has been issued in Navsari and Valsad. Additionally, a yellow alert for thunderstorms, and lightning has been issued in the rest of the region.
• Wednesday (07 August): Yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued in Navsari and Valsad.
