As per reports, the following are the weather-related conditions across Uttarakhand as of Friday (05 September):
• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and strong surface winds in all districts of Uttarakhand. Moreover, an IMD nowcast issued at 0600 hours on Friday (05 September), has placed Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar under yellow alert for light rainfall.
• According to the National Disaster Management Authority of India, the River Ganga at Rishikesh in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand continued to flow in an above normal flood situation as of 0800 hours on Friday (05 September).
• Traffic disruptions due to landslides and debris collection were reported along the Almora-Haldwani National Highway and 40 other local roads across the state on Thursday (04 September).
• According to reports, houses in Dhakrani, Khadar, Pachhuvadoon were damaged due to heavy rainfall in the area.
