As per reports, airlines operating from the UAE continue to adjust selected regional services amid heightened security concerns linked to the latest escalation between the US and Iran as of Wednesday (19 August).
Airlines including Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai and Air Arabia continue to review schedules, routes and flight paths as regional security conditions change.
• Etihad Airways continues selected Abu Dhabi-Bahrain and Abu Dhabi-Kuwait services. EY643 and EY644 between Abu Dhabi and Bahrain remain scheduled, while EY641 and EY642, EY645 and EY646, and EY647 and EY648 remain cancelled through Friday (21 August). EY653 and EY654 between Abu Dhabi and Kuwait remain scheduled.
• Emirates continues selected Dubai-Bahrain services. EK835 and EK837 have been cancelled, while EK839 remains scheduled. The airline’s latest published timetable for Wednesday (19 August) through Tuesday (25 August) lists EK837 and EK839 as daily Dubai-Bahrain departures, with EK838 and EK840 operating return flights.
• flydubai continues operating flights to Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Its schedules list 12 weekly services between Dubai and Kuwait, 23 weekly services between Dubai and Bahrain, 21 weekly services between Dubai and Riyadh and 35 weekly services between Dubai and Jeddah. FZ909 from Dubai to Jeddah was reported delayed on Tuesday (18 August). flydubai has also resumed selected routings through Iranian airspace following internal safety assessments.
• Air Arabia continues operating a broad network from Sharjah, although selected Kuwait and Bahrain services have been cancelled. G9068 and G9124 from Sharjah to Kuwait, G9107 from Sharjah to Bahrain and G9108 from Bahrain to Sharjah were cancelled. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi flight 3L020 from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait was also cancelled. Other Air Arabia services from Sharjah, including flights to Mumbai, Kathmandu, Cairo, Doha, Muscat, Nairobi and Beirut, continue to operate.
• Turkish Airlines has resumed services to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, alongside restored operations to Beirut, Damascus and Amman. However, regional conditions remain under active operational review.
• Several international carriers continue to maintain longer-term suspensions affecting Dubai and other Middle Eastern destinations. British Airways has suspended Dubai, Tel Aviv, Bahrain and Amman services through 25 October. Singapore Airlines has postponed the resumption of Dubai services until 24 October.
• KLM has suspended Riyadh, Dammam and Dubai services through 06 September, while also avoiding Iranian, Iraqi and Israeli airspace and parts of the Arabian Gulf. Lufthansa and Swiss continue to suspend Dubai services through 13 September. Lufthansa Group services to Abu Dhabi remain suspended through 24 October. Scoot has suspended Singapore-Jeddah services through 12 September.
• Air Canada has extended its Dubai suspension until at least mid-January 2027. Philippine Airlines continues to suspend Manila-Dubai services through 02 October. Manila-Doha services have resumed. Air France continues to adjust or suspend selected Dubai and Beirut services.
