As per reports, the UAE issued a security warning for residents in Dubai on Sunday (30 August), stating that the security threat level had been elevated and instructing residents to remain in their homes or safe locations until the threat had passed.
• The alert instructed residents to stay away from windows, glass facades and exposed areas to preserve public safety.
• The warning was issued following renewed US-Iran military activity, including US strikes against two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz earlier on Sunday (30 August).
• The development comes amid an elevated regional security environment, with the US Department of State maintaining a Level 3: Reconsider Travel advisory for the UAE as of Saturday (29 August), citing the ongoing threat of armed conflict and drone and missile attacks.
