As per reports, farmers and the Generalitat reached an agreement on Thursday (29 February) in Barcelona after a week of protests and blockades across parts of Catalonia.

• As a part of the agreement, the government agreed to almost all the demands of the farmers and ranchers, including a reorganization of the Water Supply area of ??the Catalan Water Agency, as well as adoption of a new aid of minimum 200 euros per hectare in irrigated areas, which lacked irrigation measures.
• In return, the farmers agree to lift the protests and blockades before 2359 hours (local time) Thursday (29 February).
• Farmers of Girona decided to collectively lift the blockade of the highway in Pontós, at the confluence of the AP-7 with the N-2 on Thursday (29 February) evening after claiming that they obtained 90 percent of their demands from the government.
• On Thursday (29 February), a group of farmers burned tires at kilometer 173 on the A-1 highway in Miranda, causing long delays on the highway towards Madrid.
